At Branest & Co Ltd, we believe everyone deserves a great stay and a seamless booking experience, regardless of disability, accessibility needs, or how they access the web. This page covers both the accessibility of our website and the physical accessibility features of our properties.

Branest & Co Ltd is committed to making our website and services accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a baseline standard.

We also recognise that many of our guests may have specific physical accessibility requirements. We will always do our utmost to match guests with the most suitable property and to provide accurate accessibility information for each listing.

3. Physical Accessibility of Properties

Our properties vary in their physical accessibility. We are committed to providing accurate and detailed accessibility information in every listing so guests can make an informed choice. Each property listing will state:

  • Whether the property is step-free (ground floor or lift access)
  • Width of doorways (where relevant for wheelchair access)
  • Availability of a wet room or walk-in shower
  • Presence of stairs and whether a stairlift is fitted
  • Parking proximity and availability
  • Any additional accessibility features (grab rails, raised toilet seats, etc.)

Accessible Properties

Properties in our portfolio that meet enhanced accessibility criteria are clearly labelled as “Accessible-Friendly” in our listings. These properties typically offer:

Step-Free Access

Entrance and main living areas accessible without steps.

Accessible Bathroom

Roll-in shower or wet room with grab rails and adequate turning space.

Adapted Bedroom

Adequate clearance around bed, accessible storage, and adjustable lighting.

Nearby Parking

Dedicated or close-proximity parking suitable for blue badge holders.

If you have specific accessibility requirements not listed above, please contact us before booking. We will do our best to confirm whether a property can meet your needs, or help you identify a more suitable option.

4. Booking with Accessibility Needs

If you have accessibility requirements, we encourage you to:

  • Contact us directly before booking to discuss your specific needs
  • Request detailed photographs or a video walk-through of the property
  • Ask about local accessible transport links and nearby facilities

We will never charge more for an accessible property, and we will always try to accommodate reasonable requests within our portfolio.

5. Known Limitations

We acknowledge the following known accessibility limitations on our website that we are actively working to address:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully screen-reader compatible. We are reviewing and updating these.
  • Some third-party booking widgets (such as embedded Airbnb elements) are outside our direct control and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Our live chat tool may have limited accessibility. Please use email as an alternative.
